HabitCut ("we," "us," or "our") operates the HabitCut mobile application (the "App") and the website at habitcut.com (the "Service").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the App. By using HabitCut, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Overview
HabitCut is designed to help you pause impulses and build self-awareness. You can use the App without creating an account. We assign you an anonymous identifier so your history, preferences, and premium status can work across sessions on your device.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for cross-app tracking or advertising.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information you provide
Depending on how you use the App, we may collect:
- Saved content — Messages you save to Favorites
- Optional profile information — If you choose to add details such as username, bio, location, gender, or birth date in profile settings
- Gift codes — If you redeem a promotional or gift code
- Support communications — Information you send us by email or through support requests
We do not require your name, email address, or phone number to use the core features of the App.
3.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the App, we automatically collect:
- User ID — A randomly generated anonymous identifier (UUID) stored on your device and linked to your App activity
- Product interaction data — Such as when you use the Pause feature, which guide you selected, topics you interact with, and related usage events
- App preferences — Including your selected guide, topic, and language setting (Turkish or English)
- Purchase and subscription status — Whether you have an active premium subscription, subscription type, and expiration date
We do not collect precise location data, contacts, photos, or health records through the App.
3.3 Payment information
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) through RevenueCat, our subscription management provider.
We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase receipts, transaction identifiers, and subscription status on our behalf.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the App, including the Pause feature, guide messages, history, and analysis
- Save and display your Favorites
- Manage premium subscriptions and restore purchases
- Personalize your experience (for example, language and selected guide)
- Understand how the App is used so we can improve features and reliability
- Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Service
- Comply with legal obligations
Legal bases (where applicable): We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the App), based on your consent where required, and for our legitimate interests in improving and securing the Service.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only in these limited cases:

If you delete your data through the App (Settings → Delete Account / Delete My Data), we delete or anonymize the data associated with your user ID from our systems, subject to limited retention required for legal, security, or billing purposes (for example, purchase records handled by Apple).
7. Your Choices and Rights
In the App
- Delete your data: Go to Settings and use the delete account / delete data option. This removes data linked to your anonymous user ID and resets your local identity.
- Language: Change your language preference in Settings.
- Subscriptions: Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings.
Your legal rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

8. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our backend infrastructure.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union, where our service providers operate.
Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
10. Children's Privacy
HabitCut is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at habitcutapp@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it.

The App or website may contain links to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

If changes are material, we may provide additional notice within the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
